With the mad dash to pick out the perfect gifts, the pressure to throw the most memorable bash and a jam packed social calendar, the true meaning of the holidays can easily get lost in the wintery mix. For several years now, Beacham & Company has made sure that doesn’t happen. While the firm is involved with countless charities, they spend much of their time and energy supporting the Genesis Shelter, an Atlanta nonprofit committed to changing the lives of families in need. The organization’s mission is to “provide a supportive environment that enables homeless newborns and their families to achieve positive life outcomes for this generation and those to come.” Throughout the year, the agents participate in fundraising and projects to support the charity, but spreading holiday cheer to the shelter is their favorite way to get involved.
After collecting more than $2,000 in office donations, this group of determined Beacham agents and staff members braved the zoo that Walmart becomes during the holidays. With shopping carts filled with presents, they loaded up their cars and headed over to deliver them. While it’s easy to get wrapped up in all of the holiday hype, Beacham & Company tries to remember what’s most important. The Genesis Shelter has changed the lives of countless families and individuals, and Beacham & Company just hopes they were able to change the lives of a few this holidays season. They may not scoot down the chimney or have an army of elves, but these Beacham agents are right up there with Mr. Claus when it comes to making certain that nothing will stop Christmas from coming for these families.
