FINALISTS

1. Bellwether Landscape Architects, LLC

Bellwether is a young Landscape Architectural firm with plenty of energy and ideas! Our experienced team focus on getting to know clients, their families, sometimes their realtors, and their lifestyles to better understand each clients’ unique landscape wants. Bellwether’s insightful designs prioritize functional and versatile landscapes enhanced by discerning details and fine garden style. By blending each client’s inspiration with our vision, we design outdoor spaces that our clients love to live in. Like Beacham & Company, Bellwether is based in the heart of Buckhead but we frequently find ourselves travelling to the mountains of North Carolina and the Georgia coast. We are looking forward to seeing the homes of “The Beacham Series” and would be thrilled to join the upcoming highly-anticipated publication.

2. Benbini

Benbini – the mommy watch dreamed up by moms. Soft, stylish & super-functional design for easy timing of naps, feedings, time-outs, you name it.

3. McRae, Stegall, Peek, Harman, Smith and Manning, LLP

McRae, Stegall, Peek, Harman, Smith and Manning, LLP (MSP) serves the real estate market of Northwest Georgia.  MSP has many clients in and around the Atlanta area in all areas of practice.  At MSP, we trace a history of exceptional representation to Rome, Georgia, back more than 110 years. We have provided sound legal guidance to the community for individuals, businesses and institutions throughout our tenure and truly care for each client we represent.

4. Kalu Yala Internships

Kalu Yala Internships brings college students and young professionals to Central America to participate in or design a semester project that could eventually impact the town of Kalu Yala, located in Tres Brazos, Panama. Every young adult needs an internship, but that doesn’t mean they need to be making copies or fetching coffee. We tailor our internship around the interests of our interns based in 6 programs: Business, Community Outreach, Digital Development, English as a Second Language, Living Systems (Agriculture, Animal Science and Biology) and Outdoor Recreation. Over the 3-month internship, students are immersed in Latin culture, given plenty of time to travel, and have a worthwhile project for their portfolios.

Kalu Yala Internships would be a good fit for the magazine because we are originally from Atlanta, have a large UGA and Tech alumni group, and we are closely related to the Kalu Yala real estate development. Kalu Yala will be a sustainable development that is set to begin building in January 2014. It is very similar to Serenbe in Palmetto, GA with the ideals of sustainable practices in all aspects of the community. Our program is an extremely unique trip abroad and attracts people from all over the world (37 states, 12 countries and 80 colleges in just 2 years). It is a pay-for opportunity similar to study abroad but with a much more tailored program to the individual.

5. Kimbrell Teegarden

A native Atlantan, Kimbrell has devoted her career to working with elementary, middle and high school students as well as adults and families throughout the Atlanta community. Kimbrell is an expert at getting to the heart of the matter and to the heart of her clients by empowering them to utilize their strengths and achieve greater personal, academic or professional success. Whether helping with primary or secondary school placement in the Atlanta area or nationally, counseling high school students regarding college placement, or offering general counseling to adults and families seeking support and direction, Kimbrell’s mission remains the same: to help her clients identify and become more of the person they were created to be in real and tangible ways.

6.  Calliespondence

I run a stationery business (calliespondence) out of my springlake home in atlanta.  I think it would be a wonderful fit for “the beacham” because I design luxury paper goods for people with big life changes (and thus – sometimes spurring the need for a larger home!) such as moving announcements, birth announcements and wedding invitations.  My designs are for the most part clean, simple and design-oriented.  I work with clients all over the country (and internationally!) but primarily my client base is in atlanta and the southeast.  My baby and children’s line is also carried at marguerite peele fine stationery, located in the peachtree battle area.  My “advertising” has all been word of mouth and referrals so far, so I would be thrilled to enter the world of print advertising for calliespondence in “the beacham!”

7. Joey B Collection

Joey designs and makes luxury, high end jewelry for sale right now in ETC EAST in the Vinings Jubilee and in BD Jeffries.  The J B collection is a combination of Joey’s designs and collected treasures which convey a sense of fun, sophistication, elegance and grace. The collection is comprised of beautiful gemstones, gold, and silver.
